Access Control Software Installation is the first step for deploying the Fresh USA Windows access-control platform on a new or existing system. Access Control Software Installation Requirements
Fresh USA Access Control Software supports both current and legacy Windows environments, including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Windows 11. Older deployments may also operate on Windows XP. Use a genuine Windows installation and perform setup with administrator rights.
- Microsoft .NET Framework components required by the installed build
- Microsoft SQL Server / SQL Express, SQL Server 2008 Express or newer
- At least 1 GB free disk space
- Network access when readers or a shared SQL database are used
- Internet access during installation or activation when required
Install the Fresh USA Access Control Software
The software package uses two main installation components. Run setup.exe first so required libraries and supporting components can be checked and installed. Then run AccessControl.msi to install the Windows desktop application.
- Sign in to Windows with administrator rights.
- Temporarily allow the installer through antivirus or firewall protection if security software blocks setup.
- Run setup.exe as Administrator.
- After prerequisites are complete, run AccessControl.msi.
- Start the AccessControl desktop application.
- Configure the SQL database connection.
- Continue with reader configuration only after the database connection is working correctly.
License Activation
The software license is assigned per computer and the primary license is tied to the computer motherboard. After installation, generate the license request file and send it to Fresh USA technical support. The returned license file is then registered in the application. A new computer normally requires a new software license, while reinstalling Windows on the same computer can generally continue using the existing license when the motherboard has not changed.
Database Connection
Open Settings > Connect to database and enter the SQL Server name, database name and the required authentication method. The system supports local database deployment and shared SQL Server architecture. Multiple workstations can use one common database when the network and SQL permissions are configured correctly.
Before adding readers, verify that the database opens without errors and that the application can save and retrieve records. If SQL services are not running, check Windows Services, administrator permissions and firewall rules.
Multilingual Windows Interface
The operator interface can be used in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Chinese and Korean. Language availability allows the same Fresh USA platform to be deployed for multilingual operators and international projects.
