Overhead Anti-Theft Protection and Tagged-Item Tracking

The system monitors a defined detection zone near an exit or controlled passage. When an active compatible tag enters the monitored area, the system activates the red flashing light and audible alarm.

Overhead placement keeps the entrance open and avoids the need for conventional floor-mounted security pedestals. The system can be installed visibly above the entrance or, where ceiling construction and RF conditions permit, concealed behind a suitable non-metallic ceiling surface.

In standalone operation, the system provides immediate local anti-theft notification without requiring a computer or Internet connection. When connected to optional Fresh USA Windows software, it can also support event tracking, tagged-item records, inventory functions and monitoring of multiple entrances.

How the System Works

1. Compatible UHF security tags are attached to protected merchandise, equipment or other assets.
2. The F-930 system monitors the configured detection area near the protected exit or passage.
3. When an active tagged item enters the monitored area, the system identifies the tag.
4. The red flashing light and audible alarm are activated.
5. The built-in dry-contact relay can send a control signal to a compatible alarm panel, controller, turnstile input or other approved low-voltage control input.
6. With optional Fresh USA software, the event can also be displayed, recorded and associated with registered merchandise or assets.

Detection-Zone Planning

The F-930 hardware supports long-range detection, but an anti-theft installation should not automatically use the maximum possible distance. The goal is to create a focused detection area across the exit without continuously detecting tagged merchandise on nearby displays or shelves.

There is no single tag suitable for every product. The correct tag depends on the item material, packaging, required reading distance, attachment method and whether the tag must be visible, concealed, reusable, washable or tamper-evident.

Installation Requirements

Installation includes overhead mounting, low-voltage power, alarm wiring, system alignment and detection testing. Installation should be completed by a qualified low-voltage, security, electrical or systems-integration contractor.

• Measure the exact entrance or passage width.

• Every F-930 connected to Fresh USA software requires its own system-unit license.

What is included in the standard system?

The standard package includes the F-930 overhead detection unit, red flashing light with adjustable audible alarm, power supply and mounting bracket.

Does the system require a computer?

No computer is required for normal standalone alarm operation. A licensed Windows computer is required for software-managed event tracking and inventory functions.

Does the system require Internet access?

No Internet connection is required for normal standalone operation. Internet access may be needed for software downloads, activation or remote technical support.

Are security tags included?

Tags are selected separately unless they are specifically included in a written quotation or order. The correct tag depends on the merchandise and installation conditions.

Can regular tags be used on metal or liquid products?

Regular tags normally should not be attached directly to metal or used near liquids without testing. Specialized tags are generally required for these applications.

Can one system monitor several separate exits?

One F-930 is normally used for each independently monitored exit or passage. Multiple systems can be monitored together through compatible Fresh USA Windows software.

Can the system send smartphone, SMS or phone notifications?

Yes. The optional GSM 4G / Wi-Fi Wireless Alarm Notification System supports compatible smartphone app, SMS and phone-call notification workflows.

Can the system connect to an electromagnetic lock or turnstile?

The normally open dry-contact relay can send a signal to a compatible controller input. The relay must not directly power the lock or turnstile. Fire-alarm release, emergency egress and required life-safety functions must remain fully operational.

Can the system be concealed above the ceiling?

Concealed installation may be possible where ceiling material, access and RF conditions are suitable. Metal ceiling materials can interfere with or redirect the detection field and require testing.

Is the system suitable for jewelry displays?

The overhead system is intended primarily for exit and passage detection. Jewelry counters, showcases and continuously monitored displays normally require a Smart Shelf system with a different operating principle.

What information is needed before ordering?
