Description
Complete F-920 Parking Access Control System — Up to 26 ft / 8 m
The Fresh USA F-920 is supplied as a complete preconfigured parking access system with a built-in relay, power supply, adjustable mounting bracket and authorized tags programmed for the supplied reader. It can operate independently or be expanded to centralized Windows parking-access management.
Ready-to-Use F-920 Parking Access Control System
The Fresh USA F-920 is designed primarily for parking gates, barrier arms, garage entrances, HOA communities, apartment and condominium garages, employee parking lots and other controlled parking access points.
The reading range is adjustable up to approximately 26 ft / 8 m, depending on the windshield tag, credential orientation, reader position, RF power, surrounding structures and installation conditions.
When an authorized credential enters the configured reading area, the F-920 verifies its identification code and activates the built-in normally open dry-contact relay. The relay sends an opening command to the connected barrier, parking gate, garage-door operator or compatible access-control input.

How the Parking Access System Works
- An authorized vehicle approaches the controlled parking lane.
- The F-920 detects the programmed windshield tag or credential.
- The reader verifies the credential identification code.
- The built-in normally open relay is activated.
- The parking barrier, gate or garage door receives the open command.
Typical Parking Access Connection
| Authorized Windshield Tag | → | Fresh USA F-920 Reader | → | Built-In NO / COM Relay | → | Barrier Arm, Parking Gate or Garage Door |
One reader is normally required for every independently controlled barrier, gate or parking lane. A garage with one controlled entry barrier and one controlled exit barrier normally requires two readers.
Entry and Exit Configuration
| Entry Lane | Exit Lane |
|---|---|
|
|
The reader may detect compatible credentials approaching from more than one direction within its RF field. This does not mean that one reader should be used to independently control two separate barriers or lanes.
Commercial Parking Applications
- HOA and gated-community parking entrances
- Apartment and condominium garages
- Commercial parking lots
- Employee and tenant parking
- Parking garage entry and exit barriers
- Hotels, resorts and managed properties
- Schools, universities and campuses
- Industrial and warehouse employee parking
- Government and municipal parking facilities
- Other controlled parking gates and garage doors
Parking Credentials and Windshield Tags
Fresh USA Standalone Credentials
The retail package includes two Fresh USA credentials programmed for the supplied reader. Additional compatible windshield tags, cards or other supported credentials can be programmed using the optional F-02 Tag Writer / Encoder .
Third-party credentials must use the correct regional UHF frequency, supported protocol and required programming. Compatibility should be verified before ordering tags in quantity.
I-PASS and E-ZPass
Compatible I-PASS and E-ZPass transponders may be registered and used with the appropriate software-managed TCP/IP configuration after the transponder type, protocol and required workflow are confirmed.
I-PASS and E-ZPass compatibility does not automatically apply to the standard preconfigured standalone version.
Optional Parking Access Control Software
The F-920 can be connected to Fresh USA Access Control Software through the local network using TCP/IP communication.
The software-managed parking system supports:
- Registration of vehicles, residents, employees and visitors
- Centralized management of multiple entry and exit readers
- Reader names assigned by lane, gate or property
- Automatic entry and exit processing
- Manual entry or exit when required
- Real-time access events
- Current-inside vehicle records
- Historical entry and exit records
- Search by credential, vehicle, person or license plate
- Export of search results to Excel
- Multiple licensed Windows workstations
- Shared central SQL database
- User accounts and administrative permissions
- No mandatory cloud subscription
Software licenses and reader licenses are sold separately. Each connected F-920 requires its own reader license.
Optional Configurations
| TCP/IP software configuration | Used for centralized parking management through the local Ethernet network. |
|---|---|
| Wi-Fi option | Optional local-network communication when wired Ethernet is not practical. Wired Ethernet is normally preferred. |
| PoE module | Optional module for compatible network installations. View PoE Module |
| LED indication | Optional visual indication for qualifying reader and access configurations. |
Installation and Site Planning
- Recommended maximum installation height: 10 ft / 3 m
- Connection to the parking equipment: normally open dry contact
- Determine the distance between the reader and expected windshield-tag path.
- Identify all independently controlled entry and exit barriers.
- Provide the gate, barrier or garage-door manufacturer and model.
- Identify metal fences, gates, walls and structures near the reader.
- Confirm standalone or software-managed operation before final configuration.
- Adjust RF power and reader angle at the installation site.
The F-920 verifies credentials and sends an opening command. It does not replace required vehicle loops, photo eyes, obstruction sensors, reversing devices, emergency releases or other safety equipment required by the barrier, gate or garage-door operator.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the F-920 require a computer?
No computer is required for routine standalone parking access. A licensed Windows computer is required for centralized software management.
Can one reader control separate entry and exit barriers?
Separate independently controlled entry and exit barriers normally require separate readers.
Can the F-920 work with I-PASS or E-ZPass?
Compatible transponders may be used with the appropriate software-managed version after compatibility verification.
Can multiple parking lanes be managed together?
Yes. Multiple readers can be connected through TCP/IP to the Fresh USA Windows software. Each reader requires its own reader license.
Does the F-920 replace vehicle safety sensors?
No. The reader provides credential identification and an opening command. Required loops, photo eyes and other safety equipment remain part of the gate or barrier system.
Can Fresh USA review the parking layout?
Yes. Send the lane dimensions, required reading distance, barrier models, number of entry and exit lanes and preferred credential type.
Need Help Confirming the F-920 System Kit?
Send the parking-lane dimensions, number of entry and exit barriers, required reading distance, existing gate or garage-door equipment, approximate number of vehicles and preferred operating configuration. Need complete parking system design, integration or installation?
